Located in the heart of the Saint-Hubert forest, the small village of Mirwart welcomes you with its serenity and natural splendour.
Surrounded by 1,350 hectares of forest, Mirwart – ranked among the most beautiful villages in Wallonia – is a unique place that invites you to relax and enjoy outdoor activities.

Mirwart and its castle
Perched on a rock overlooking the L'Homme river valley, Mirwart Castle has watched over the village for over a thousand years.
Some historical landmarks:
-
The first fortress was documented in 955, mentioned in the chronicles of Saint-Hubert Abbey.
-
The lords of Mirwart were long-time allies and protectors of the abbey.
-
Destroyed and rebuilt several times, the current castle was built between 1706 and 1734 on the medieval ruins.
Today, this historic site, nestled in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, has become the setting for our wedding.
